If you choose the “Web Download” option, it will depend on the speed of your Internet connection. (For downloads larger than 1 GByte, use the Backblaze Restore Downloader (external link).) Typical home cable or DSL speeds will let you download approximately 1GB per hour. Backblaze will need to prepare your files in to a zip for download, and that process is dependent on the number of individual files and file sizes. You can monitor the progress on the “My Restores” (external link) section of your account.
If you choose the “USB flash drive” or “USB hard drive” options, Backblaze will ship your USB flash drive or USB hard drive via FedEx within 3-10 days of your request depending on the size of your restore. Restores over 1 TByte may take several extra days to prepare, due to the greater amount of data to be prepared, and then copied to the drive. You can monitor the progress on the “My Restores” (external link) section of your account.
